Is home to our community foundations (Bristol Sport, Bristol Flyers, Robins and Bears Foundations) – all of which offer much-needed education and sports programmes for all ages and abilities

JOBS & INVESTMENT

Our plans would bring significant benefits to BS3 and the surrounding area.

  • The Sporting Quarter & Longmoor Village would support hundreds of jobs during its two-year construction period, with many more permanent jobs across a wide range of sectors once opened
  • A local jobs and skills strategy is in place already at Ashton Gate along with an extensive apprenticeship programme and recruitment drive for opening
  • As already established and proven Ashton Gate is committed to ensuring as many jobs as possible go to local people with a priority to hiring people who live within walking distance
  • Alongside direct jobs, the construction of Longmoor Village and the Sporting Quarter would help support indirect employment for shops, businesses and service providers both locally and in the wider region ​
  • The complete schemes would provide a significant number of employment opportunities including retail, hospitality, facilities management, building operations as well as providing office-based employment space
  • A world-class Sporting Quarter would also provide a significant boost to Bristol’s visitor economy, which currently supports more than 29 thousand jobs
